The so-called half-pipe reactor, that is, on the basis of the conventional reactor, the jacket is surrounded by half-pipes. The middle part of the half-tank jacket is the kettle body. The half-pipe outside the kettle is equipped with circulating cooling water. The cross-section of the half-pipe is semi-circular. The enamel reaction kettle body and the surrounding half-pipe are welded together.

Based on the particularity of the half-tank jacket, the half-pipe enamel reactor has significant advantages in heat exchange: the common standard jacketed enamel reactor has a larger heat exchange area, but the flow speed in the jacket is slow, The heat transfer system is low, and the half-pipe jacketed glass-lined reactor has a slightly smaller heat exchange area, but the liquid flow in the half-pipe is fast and the heat exchange efficiency is high.

Secondly, in terms of pressure, because the wall thickness of the jacket of the half-pipe enamel reactor is much thicker than that of the traditional enamel reactor, it can withstand greater pressure. When the pressure required for the production reaction is high , it is more appropriate to use a half-pipe reactor.

Finally, the high-speed flow of the medium in the half-pipe jacket can effectively prevent the generation of dirt on the inner surface of the jacket, which greatly reduces the cost of jacket cleaning.
